Rooms Duty Maintenance personnel

DoubleTree by Hilton Malta is seeking a diligent and skilled Rooms Duty Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our esteemed hotel.

As a Rooms Duty Maintenance Personnel, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring that guest requests are promptly addressed and the overall functionality and appearance of the hotel are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks in guest rooms and public areas, including painting, plastering, gypsum works, wallpaper laying, floor and wall tile laying, and basic plumbing works in the hotel and its grounds.

- Address maintenance requests from guests promptly and efficiently

- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel premises to identify and address maintenance needs

- Assist in implementing and following preventive maintenance schedules to avoid potential issues

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and hotel policies to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

- The ideal candidate should be well-organized with a keen eye for detail

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks

- Literacy in English is required; knowledge of Maltese is an asset

- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently without supervision

- Smart and well-groomed appearance

- Previous experience in a similar role would be considered an asset.
