Ducting Installer

HireHound Recruitment in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Ducting Installer to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

As a Ducting Installer, you will be responsible for the accurate installation of ductwork systems for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, preparing and installing brackets, and fitting ducts according to project specifications. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and safely are essential in ensuring the correct and secure installation of ductwork.

Responsibilities:

1. Reading & Interpreting Drawings

• Review working drawings and schematics to identify the various sizes and types of ductwork required.
• Determine the correct sequence for duct installation based on the specifications provided in the drawings.

2. Bracket Preparation & Installation

• Measure and cut brackets to the required dimensions for securing ducts.
• Install brackets accurately to support the ductwork, ensuring proper alignment and stability.

3. Duct Installation

• Install the duct sections as specified, ensuring secure fitting and alignment with the installed brackets.
• Ensure all connections are properly sealed and secured to prevent leaks and ensure efficient system performance.

4. Repetition of Installation Tasks

• Follow the established sequence to install subsequent pieces of ductwork, maintaining consistency and accuracy throughout the installation process.
• Ensure that each piece of ductwork is installed correctly and meets the project's specifications.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience or technical training in ductwork installation or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, and installing brackets and ductwork.
• Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in duct installation.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in installation tasks.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a construction or installation environment.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to on-site challenges.
• Adherence to safety protocols and best practices during installation.
