Assistant Shop Manager

The Groom Collection is an established business in the retail and rental sector which has been operating for over 30 years. We are currently looking to employ an Assistant Shop Manager to support our ever-growing operation! 

The successful candidate shall provide the Shop Manager with the help that is required to keep the shop in optimal running order, from ordering inventory and processing sales to generating cash reports and responding to customer queries. We are looking for a charismatic and ambitious professional who wants to pursue a career in retail management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Shop Manager with the daily duties
• Greeting and attending to customers’ needs
• Delegating daily tasks to team members
• Maintaining and monitoring of shop inventory
• Ensuring that the shop is always in a neat and presentable condition for customers
• Process client sales (in store and online)
• Answer emails, social media messages, phone calls, etc.
• Check and prepare hired garments which are to leave the store
• Check hired garments which return to the store
• Fitting garments on clients

The ideal candidate should:

• Have an eye for fashion and trends, with a passion for retail
• Possess a pleasant personality with great communication skills
• Have a minimum of one year experience in a retail outlet or within a customer centric role
• Have strong organisational and customer service skills
• Maintain a smart and well-groomed appearance
• Have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 
• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
