Trainee/Junior Renewable Energy Broker

Commerg Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Trainee/Junior Renewable Energy Broker to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

We are willing to train a new team member to become a Renewable Energy Broker. You will be supported by the Renewables Desk Manager who is highly experienced in the Environmental Markets, brokering and deal structuring. The Training period lasts between 6 months and 1 year and is the gateway to a role on the Trading Floor in the field of Renewable Energy, Biogas, Hydrogen or Carbon.

COMMERG is a broker in the European Environmental Markets. In this niche market, we use our strong position and knowledge to match buyers and sellers to close deals. COMMERG is looking to expand its customer base in Europe in Environmental Products related to Renewable Energy, Voluntary Carbon Certificates and Guarantees of Origin.

COMMERG Renewables Brokers Team:

We are based in Ta’Xbiex, Malta. The Brokers team consists of 8 market specialists who have a strong commercial drive, are ambitious, eager to learn, entrepreneurial to investigate new markets, not satisfied until they have found a solution for a problem and act as team players.

COMMERG Job Description

You will be responsible for:

• Supervise the Market order flow and communications
• Support Brokers with market information
• Optimise communication between the market and the Brokers
• Monitor developments in the European and global renewable energy trading regulatory framework
• Coordinate market orders of traders and brokers
• Filter and Relay client’s communications to brokers
• Prepare post-deal documentation for clients and back-office
• Learning the profession of Broker
• Creating pricing reports

Job Requirements:

• 0-2 year of commercial experience; graduates welcome
• Fluency in English, verbal and written
• Good communication skills
• Strong commercial drive and a proactive attitude
• Eager to learn and work in a dynamic environment
• Outgoing personality.
