ST Hotels Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit an HR and Payroll Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

We are seeking a talented individual to join us in the role of HR and Payroll Manager. You will play a pivotal role in executing our human resources functions and managing our HR and payroll team. This position requires a proactive and organized individual who can seamlessly navigate between tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment by posting job openings, reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews
  • Handle onboarding process for new employees, including completing paperwork and setting up employee records and apply for their work permits
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems
  • Support payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Prepare monthly payroll journals for monthly ledger posting
  • Manage all employees tax returns, social security reports and all other payroll related to government reporting and submissions
  • Coordinate training and development programs for employees
  • Assist with performance management processes, tracking performance reviews and employee evaluations
  • Handle administrative tasks such as organizing meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
  • Support general HR functions, employee relations, compliance, and policies implementation
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements:

  • 2–3-year experience in a previous role or similar
  • Knowledge of payroll softwares
  • Knowledge of Maltese payroll procedures and employment law
  • Knowledge of English language (required)
  • Knowledge of Maltese language (considered an asset)
  • Being able to work from Monday to Saturday
  • Having a strong business initiative is a must
  • Being able to work on own initiative and manage the team.
