We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Venue Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of internal events and external. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management and operations, with excellent communication and leadership skills. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all events at the venue, including meetings, conferences and other special events
- Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and ensure all details are executed flawlessly
- Manage event budgets and ensure all expenses are within budget
- Hire, train, and supervise event staff, including servers, bartenders, and event coordinators
- Oversee all aspects of event operations, including setup, breakdown, and cleanup
- Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts for event services and supplies
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations during events
- Develop and implement strategies to increase event bookings and revenue
- Collaborate with marketing team to promote events and attract new clients
- Handle any issues or concerns that may arise during events and provide timely solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, preferably in a venue setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent time-management and organizational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of event planning software and tools
- Use of Autocad is considered an asset
- Proven experience in budget management and negotiation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations for events
- Customer service-oriented mindset
