Chef Tournant

A Chef Tournant is responsible for leading a section or outlet, capable to work in different areas, with a vast knowledge of cuisines. 

What will I be doing?

• Lead and train the team
• Assist Junior sous chefs and sous chef on the daily operation of the business
• Ensure all food preparation meets standards & HACCP regulations
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
• Requisition food needed for preparation of all meals
• Ensure Mis-en place meets business needs through the effective management of production
• Support brand standards through the guidance of the senior team
• Manage food cost controls to contribute to the targets established by the management r
• Manage kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well-organised and motivated team
• Knowledge of activities in other departments 

What are we looking for?

• Previous Experience in a similar role
• Approaches food in a creative way
• ITS graduate
• Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant, Michelin restaurants or 5 star hotel
• Previous experience as a Chef de partie (minimum 3 years)or as a tournant 1 year.
• Positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
• Excellent grooming standards
• Excellent planning and organising skills
• Strong supervisory skills
• Knowledge of culinary trends ,innovative and creative
