Ably Resources Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join their client's team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
Ably resources are delighted to be representing a brand new client who has been experiencing rapid growth and huge investment due to continued works in Malta and plans to open several new facilities in Malta over the next few years. Our client's mission is to lead Malta's waste management facilities and services toward a circular economy approach. their focus is on promoting waste reduction and recycling, as well as creating and maintaining innovative waste management infrastructure to protect the environment and society. They aim to create value from previously wasted energy and materials and are determined to act in the most sustainable and resource-efficient way possible.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal departments and relevant organizations to optimize asset utilization and profitability
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders
Create and lead a productive and safety-conscious workforce
Design and implement policies, procedures, and strategies related to mechanical engineering in waste operations
Analyse data, create KPIs, and implement changes to meet efficiency targets
Manage day-to-day operations, budget preparation, and quality control
Supervise maintenance and repair activities and standardize equipment, materials, and supplies
Lead and manage the staff of the section to meet performance, attendance, and customer service targets
Coordinate and develop policies and procedures for effective operations
Provide data and information to support future waste operations improvement initiatives
Maintain strong relationships with customers and third parties
Participate in training and consultancy efforts and annual work programs
Authorize capital and recurrent expenditures, report to higher authorities, and prepare weekly management reports
Monitor KPIs, follow professional development programs and perform other duties as assigned
