Chief Maintenance Engineer (Hospitality -CENTRAL)

Our client is a leading group of hotels in Malta. They would like to engage a Chief Maintenance Engineer to join their team

The Role

• Organize and maintain the hotel at the highest standards
• Deliver accurate forecasts and lead the engineering team whilst setting departmental goals and strategies
• Plan, prepare, and manage approved capex projects
• Ensure staff follow maintenance and safety procedures, using PPE as needed.
  Maintain up-to-date maintenance records
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for rooms, HVAC, and equipment
• Oversee preventive maintenance for all plant equipment, rooms, public areas, spa, pools, kitchens, and F&B outlets
• Represent the organization in audits and meetings
• Support other departments in engineering matters
• Prepare engineering and monthly utility reports
• Ensure work quality meets industry standards and complies with licensing requirements
• Manage permits and site coverage
• Oversee daily engineering activities, including in-house and subcontractor work
• Maintain budgets and stock value of parts.
• Coordinate with subcontractors
• Implement processes and procedures with the Director of Operations to prevent operational disruptions
  

• Must have previous experience in a similar role
• Have strong leadership skills
• Be meticulous ans hardworking

• BSc degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
