Apcopay is seeking to engage a skilled Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our expanding team.
The Position
Based in Malta and reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will have a key role in upholding the quality of our payment services through quality assurance practices. Working closely with a team of skilled professionals, the chosen candidate will contribute across the design, development, and implementation stages of our solutions.
The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be responsible for implementing manual and automated test tools/frameworks to ensure the delivery of quality features. Responsibilities will include developing and managing automated tests and tools for our product’s frontend, backend APIs, and other services, collaborating with our Software Development Engineers to prioritize test automation, and establishing methods to integrate testing early in the software development process.
Additionally, the role involves advocating for best practices in testing, testability, and maintainability, setting up automated tests for reliable executionin CI/CD environments, monitoring and communicating test coverage and results, and adapting automated test tools based on project requirements.

The Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in manual testing and 3 years' in automation testing. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent is a must, along with expertise in Full-Stack QA automation, including Web/APIs and performance testing tools, as well as familiarity with Continuous Integration Systems like Azure DevOps. Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium/TestCafe and BrowserStack/Lambda Test are essential. The candidate should be capable of developing and designing automated tests and possess a solid understanding of QA methodologies, lifestyle, and processes.
Experience in Online Payment Solutions, familiarity with Web and API stacks, and Foundation ISTQB certification would be preferred.
