IT Technician

Our client within the Information Technology Industry is looking for an IT Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to clients, mainly remotely 
• Supporting in handling VOIP systems 
• Installing and configuring software and hardware for both users and servers
• Supporting with back up software and servers 
• Managing the networking servers and equipment
• Setting up users, accounts and workstations 
• Troubleshooting issues of clients 
• Handling the security through controls, backups and firewalls 
• Upgrading systems with new releases 
• Supporting in general IT support as required 

Element of on call duty, roster based. 

• A minimum of 2 years of local experience in a similar role locally
• Experience with databases, network and patch management
• Familiar with Microsoft operating systems
• Excellent communication skills in English
