IT Technical Executive (Support)

IRIS THAUMAS Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit an IT Technical Executive (Support) to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

JOB ROLE:
As an integral part of our client's growing IT department, the selected candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, operating systems (Windows), software and applications etc.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a company that provides services to private, commercial, industrial and national construction sectors and is located in Burmarrad.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deploy, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, operating systems (Windows), software and applications
• Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights in a Hybrid Active Directory environment
• Troubleshoot issues across various sites (such as CCTV, and punch clocks)
• Monitor the company’s various Server rooms to ensure they are kept in good condition and that all equipment (Servers, switches, routers, UPS and other hardware) are online without issues
• Document any solution or task accordingly.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• 2+ years of experience working in IT
• Good knowledge of Microsoft application software (especially Office 365)
• Good knowledge of M365
• Basic Networking knowledge (IP, DNS, routing) and ability to patch Ethernet cables
• Can work on own initiative and be ready to research new products and solutions
• Quick learner and willing to improve his/her skills continuously
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and preferably Maltese.

EDUCATION:
Any IT certification, especially from Microsoft will be considered an asset.
