Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Technical Support: Respond to and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, network, and other IT related problems.

• Incident Management: Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Escalate complex problems to relevant teams when necessary.

• Hardware & Software Maintenance: Install, configure, and update software applications, operating systems. Perform hardware upgrades, repairs and maintenance as needed.

• User Training and Support: Enhance the understanding and proficiency of users by offering guidance and training on new software or systems.

• User Account Management: Create, modify and deactivate user accounts across various systems and applications as per organisational policies and security procedures.

• IT Asset Management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets including hardware, software licenses and peripherals.

• System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor systems and business applications performance and conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning of IT systems and networks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field;

• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is desirable.

• Certifications like Comp TIA A+, MCITP or similar are considered an asset.

• Preferably 1 year experience in providing technical support in an enterprise environment.

• Recognises and employs methods to ensure the importance of the accuracy of work undertaken and to ensure personal work standards are maintained.

• Demonstrates the ability to stay focused on a problem or a line of thinking until a solution is reached or is no longer reasonably attainable.

• Demonstrates the ability to pick out important information from oral communications and to summarise and clarify complicated messages and to gain a positive outcome.

• Is effective in correctly identifying problems, obtaining relevant information, analysis relating data from different sources and identifying possible root causes of problems.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware problems in computers, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Understanding hardware configurations and assembly/disassembly.

• Experience in troubleshooting and supporting various software applications, including office productivity suites (Microsoft Office), email clients, and specialized software used within the organization.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS,DHCP, LAN, WAN, routers, switches, and wireless technologies.Troubleshooting network connectivity issues.

• Proficiency in managing user accounts, permissions, access controls,and group policies within operating systems and applications. Handling password resets, user provisioning, and deprovisioning.

• Strong knowledge of windows operating systems. Understanding their functionalities, troubleshooting common issues, and navigating through system settings.

• Experience in installing, configuring, and updating software applications and operating systems, as well as hardware components like RAM, hard drives, and graphics cards.

• Ability to perform basic MSSQL queries would be considered an asset.

• Possession of B driver’s license.
