Warehouse Manager

Our client, operating in the shipping industry, forms part of a prominent Group of Companies. They are looking for an experienced individual to join their team and oversee the day-to-day warehousing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and supervising staff. Reporting to the Managing Director you responsibilities will include:

• Set out action plans aligned with the company’s strategy to ensure operations meet industry standards.
• Raise and process documentation promptly and according to standard procedures outlined in the company manual.
• Develop the company’s warehousing and logistics business.
• Generate new ideas and activities for business growth.
• Ensure warehouse safety and security standards are met
• Monitor warehouse operations and identify areas of improvement
• Prepare and submit reports on warehouse operations
• Liaising with the customs department

Working Hours Monday - Friday

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in logistics and warehousing, including customs procedures and documentation
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Must have a clean driving license and preferably a forklift license too

• Preferably be in possession of a Logistics qualification
