Storekeeper

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods. This role ensures proper inventory control, timely documentation, and maintains the overall organization and cleanliness of the storage area.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
• Label and store goods according to established procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, and store movements.
• Issue materials and products according to requests and approved documentation.
• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
• Inspect and report any damage, defects, or discrepancies in received stock.
• Monitor stock levels and notify procurement of low inventory or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and secure at all times.
• Maintain and update inventory management systems.
• Prepare reports on stock status, shortages, and movements.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and organizational standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory transactions.
• Any other related duties as it may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Minimum of 1 year experience in managing stores, preferably in a food and beverage environment.
• Proven experience in storekeeping or a similar role.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock.
• Good physical stamina for lifting and moving items as required.
• Holding a valid and clean driving licence
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
