Caritas Malta is currently looking to recruit a Procurement Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.
Overview:
The Foundation for the Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers (Caritas Malta) invites interested individuals to submit their application and CV for the position of procurement officer on a full-time basis to work within the Corporate Unit.
Role responsibilities:
The procurement officer shall assume fully responsibility for the entire procurement cycle of all purchasing needs of the organisation. Being directly accountable to the Corporate Manager, the selected person shall make sure that all Caritas units have their day-to-day needs addressed in time in relation to food supplies, housekeeping items, maintenance materials, stationery goods, and any other approved requests. Furthermore, they shall also assist in the procurement of items related to capital expenditures. The selected person needs to coordinate deliveries to ensure that goods and supplies are distributed in time, and furthermore ensure that they meet the desired quality and specifications.
This role necessitates an individual with excellent communication skills who is expected to liaise on a regular basis with all units within Caritas to understand their needs, as well as fostering and maintaining positive relationships with vendors to ensure an optimistic corporate continuity for the organisation. The procurement officer has to ensure that all purchasing and contractual documentation are in order, kept organised and up-to-date. Furthermore, the incumbent must see that all purchasing requests fall within budget criteria, and is expected to analyse numerical data and develop reports in order to monitor usage trends, stock levels, and asset inventory.
