Procurement Executive

Our client, one of the leading group of companies in Malta operating in various industries, are looking for a Procurement Executive to work within their catering sector. You will be responsible for meeting procurement goals by analysing supplier contracts; coordinate negotiation with suppliers and develop recommendations on purchasing transaction; and evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time and best prices to ensure that all criteria have been met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and Issue Purchase Orders detailing agreed terms and conditions in accordance to the company procedures
• Attain and negotiate suppliers’ offers and carry out comparatives of all quotes received
• Review invoices and confirm that these are in conformity with the purchase orders
• Prepare purchase reports, including cost analyses
• Research, evaluate potential suppliers and develop new vendors in accordance to the company’s SOP
• Coordinate with store to check stock levels as required and place order as needed
• Keep abreast of market/price situation and conduct regular price comparison

• Candidates must be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
• Excellent command in English; Maltese would be highly preferred
• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create reports and conduct cost analysis
• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication and negotiation skills
• Candidates must be attentive to detail and able to work with tight deadlines

• At least 2 years of prior experience in procurement is a must
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors) is a must
