Plant Technician

Construct Furniture in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Plant Technician to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Plant Technician to join our team.
As a Plant Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of plant equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the performance of routine maintenance on plant equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical issues with plant equipment
• Monitor and maintain proper levels of lubricants and other fluids in equipment
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment
• Identify and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call for emergency repairs.
