Plant Operator (helper)

We seek to recruit a Plant Operator (helper) to undertake various responsibilities essential for the successful operation of our cement batching plant. In this role, the selected candidate will be assisting the Plant Operator in his daily operations to ensure that the respective machinery operates correctly, efficiently, and safely. 

Main duties:

To assist in starting up and shutting down machinery according to the production schedules.

To assist in the monitor equipment during operations to ensure the stability of the plant, safety, and efficiency.

To assist in the inspection and adjustment of operational parameters such as pressures and flows.

To assist in the evaluation of stock levels (cement/gravel/sand). 

To assist in the identification and rectification of faults to lessen and prevent inefficiencies or downtimes.

To assist within regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to uphold operational efficiency and safety standards.

To assist with other tasks that may arise according to exigencies of the management. 

Requirements:

Basic educational level.

Basic knowledge of the Maltese and or English language.  

Basic mechanical knowledge and skills, 

Problem solving skills,

Desirable:

Past working experience in the operation of a cement batching plant.
