Head of Maintenance

Do you have a wide-ranging maintenance experience in the hospitality field coupled with excellent time management skills? One of Malta's prime hotels is looking for a Head of Maintenance to lead their team. If you are the ultimate team player, Ceek would love to hear from you.

What is expected of you?

Supervise the daily activities of the Maintenance Department and conduct random inspections on the work carried out by the team

Perform regular inspections of electrical, mechanical, and other equipment at the hotel

Perform monthly equipment stocktaking and get quotes for equipment replacements

Make sure that Pool water quality is kept according to Government regulations, and that Legionella procedures are followed accordingly

Detect any defects and malfunctions, report them to the Senior Operations Manager and repair them immediately

Keep records of the repairs and maintenance works conducted in the hotel

Carry out HR duties such as weekly rosters, identify employees needs to maximze the productivity and satisfaction, and carry out training to maintain the highest standard of service

Ensure that all works are in line with the departmental guidelines and  the departmental budgets/business plan

Interact with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in a facility

Comply with industry H&S regulations

Make sure that all employees are trained to work and perfom maintenance works according to H&S procedures

What are you expected to bring?

Have a minimum of 3 years' experience as maintenance worker in a hotel

Be in possession of Wireman License A & B is preferable

Must be updated on Hotel fire and emergency procedures, Hotel health and safety policies and procedures, Hotel standards of operation and departmental procedures

Must have excellent written as well as verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese

Must be computer literate

Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines

Must be a good team player and have excellent skills of coordinating work with fellow team members
