Mediatoday Co Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Business Development Digital Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
An immediate vacancy exists for a full-time Business Development Digital Sales Manager proficient in Maltese with MediaToday, a media house based in San Gwann with three online platforms: maltatoday.com.mt illum.com.mt and businesstoday.com.mt.
The job is hands-on, and the successful candidate will be entrusted with managing a team of 2 sales executives and developing a sales strategy for digital advertising apart from making direct sales with top clients.

Job function:

  • Primary focus on sales for Mediatoday portals and platforms and working to a coordinated sales plan to achieve divisional budget targets and strategic objectives
  • Strategic prospecting for new leads
  • Preparing reports on client interactions, sales activities
  • Proactively seeks, hunts and recruits new deals across verticals for the campaign execution
  • Prepare sales propositions
  • Continually developing relevant sales prospect lists by using industry knowledge and a deep understanding of brand marketing to identify relevant clients
  • Work closely with the sales and newsroom teams
  • Display a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services.


Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience selling in digital advertising
  • Ideally coming from a marketing or media agency as a Senior Sales Executive/Senior Sales Manager or Senior Business Development Manager with proven results
  • Prospect, investigate, and open new conversations with new potential brands (through Linkedin, events, calls, emails...)
  • Highly motivated and self-driven individual with a structured & strategic approach
  • Analytical and data-oriented
  • Proven experience in developing a sales pipeline
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Maltese and English
  • In possession of a driving licence and a car.


Salary - Commensurate with experience.
