St Anthony Woodworks Ltd in Malta is currently seeking to recruit a Production Supervisor (Paint Department) to join their team on a full-time basis.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise the entire operations of the Paint Department with an aim for high performance
Evaluating each production process to maintain optimum efficiency
Monitor and prioritize workflow of production to meet deadlines
Manage painting of Furniture & Apertures to include brush, roll and spray applications
Inspecting products for quality and accuracy before release
Review and complete inspection of completed Orders
Consistently work within closing deadline schedules following quality standards and paint specifications
Provide and enforce direction and schedules to the Paint department
Ensuring that the flow of resources, like raw materials, is maintained and production items are delivered as needed and used properly and efficiently
Enforcing all safety policies on the production floor
Supervise Paint staff to ensure deadlines and standards of high quality are met
Creating and overseeing employee training to increase production, enhance safe operations and ensure profitability
Maintaining communication between management and employees to ensure that necessary policies are understood and followed
Qualifications:
Proven experience working in a supervisory role in a similar manufacturing industry preferred
Previous experience with Painting is preferred
Ability to create and adhere to effective schedules
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to Plan, organize, assign, and inspect the work of paint crews
Ability to motivate and train staff and promote and maintain good working relationships
Ability to use a computer/Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Sharp production focus with a drive for accurate results
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution attributes
Able to travel as required to meet with suppliers as necessary to ensure timely project development
Flexible to work long hours as required to meet project deadlines.
