SCAR Agency Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Franchise Shift Leader F&B to join their team on a full-time basis.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and capable Franchise Shift Leader to join our team at a Food and Beverage outlet located in Malta. The Franchise Shift Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the outlet during their assigned shifts, maintaining high levels of customer service, and supervising the staff to uphold the franchise’s standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Execution: Execute all operational procedures outlined in the Operation Manual for opening, closing, and managing the outlet during shifts
  • Customer Service: Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons
  • Supervision: Supervise and guide the team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel, to ensure smooth operations, adherence to standards, and efficient service
  • Team Coordination: Assign tasks and responsibilities to staff members, delegating effectively to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality and consistency of food, beverages, and service to maintain the franchise's established standards
  • Problem Solving: Address operational challenges, customer concerns, and employee issues promptly, using the tools and guidelines provided by the Operations Manager
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions and oversee cash register procedures in compliance with the company’s financial protocols
  • Training and Development: Assist in training new employees, ensuring they understand their roles, responsibilities, and the operational procedures in the Franchise Operation Manual
  • Shift Reporting: Compile accurate shift reports, including sales data, customer feedback, and any incidents or issues that occurred during the shift
  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and stock rotation, notifying management when supplies are running low
  • Health and Safety: Always uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring that staff and customers are in a safe and clean environment
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members, customers, and management, adhering to the communication guidelines established by the company culture statute. 


Requirements:

  • Previous experience (2+ years) in a Food and Beverage service role, with some supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate, guide and coordinate a team
  • Fluent in the English language, candidates with a knowledge of the Italian language will be given a preference
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of restaurant operations, including point-of-sale systems, cash handling
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to culinary excellence
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
