Chief Operations Officer

Our client is a leading Group of Companies in Malta and as they are growing they would like to engage a Chief Operations Officer to join their team

The Role

• You will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly into the CEO
• You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the operational functions of the group's various companies, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial goals. will drive operational excellence across the organization
• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the operational functions of the group's companies.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that support the achievement of financial objectives and drive long-term growth
• Ensure efficient and effective operational processes across all business units, with a focus on optimizing performance and productivity
• Collaborate closely with the CEO to align operational initiatives with financial goals and objectives
• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization
• Work with finance teams to develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial plans
• Lead and manage a team of operational professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster a culture of high performance and accountability.
• Delegate responsibilities and empower team members to drive results and achieve operational excellence
• Promote teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across functional areas and business units
• Partner with the executive leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth and competitive advantage
• Identify market trends, emerging opportunities, and potential risks to inform strategic decision-making
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Assess operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential threats to the organization
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures
• Implement effective controls and processes to safeguard the company's assets and reputation
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, board members, investors, and external partners
• Represent the organization in external forums and industry events, communicating the company's vision, values, and achievements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Proven experience in operational leadership roles, with a track record of driving performance improvement and operational excellence
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial principles, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action and execute complex initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead change initiatives effectively
