Cabs Fleet Assistant

We are looking for an Cabs Fleet Assistant with excellent analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills to take ownership of our cab ride-hailing operations.

As the Cab Fleet Operations Executive, your responsibilities will span Business Development to strategic vehicle sourcing and planning to enhance fleet operations. You will evaluate fleet progress, and implement cost-effective strategies to optimize efficiency in addition to holding full budget responsibility. You will also establish and manage relationships with insurance and road assistance partners, ensuring seamless logistic and operational flows.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the service operations across Malta and maximising fleet utilisation

• Coordinate with all 3rd party providers' contracts and operational flows

• Conduct pricing research

• Handle replacement of vehicle fleet

• Conduct dealer visits 

• Purchasing and sourcing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet

• Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules

• Ensure smooth procedures for vehicle sourcing

• Managing vehicle licensing and registration

• Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet insurance progress

• Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure implementation of local marketing campaigns

Note - Must have basic knowledge on cars and its maintenance.

Person Specification:

• Minimum of 6 years experience within an OEM, operations management or general management role, automotive dealership or car rental organization

• Good management skills, including goal-setting, motivation and training

• Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software

• Ability to set and monitor budgets

• Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills

• Ability to conduct training sessions on fleet management platforms

• Strong Knowledge of the regulatory framework

• A good understanding of current marketing trends

• Expert knowledge of overall fleet management from delivery to oversight of vehicle maintenance

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
