We are looking for a Payroll Business Development Manager.

Job Summary:

As a Payroll Business Development Manager, your role will be to drive the growth of our payroll services by identifying and securing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, building strong relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets. This position requires a deep understanding of payroll processes, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in business development within the payroll industry.

Key Duties:

  • Identify and research potential clients and target markets for payroll services.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to generate leads and expand the client base.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations, including HR managers, finance directors, and business owners.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to align strategies and effectively promote payroll services.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and sales materials to potential clients.
  • Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that meet client needs and revenue targets.
  • Track and report on sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline, using CRM systems or other tools.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, payroll regulations, and best practices to effectively position and differentiate our payroll services.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate new business leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar role, preferably within the payroll industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, software, and services.
  • Strong understanding of business development principles and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey value propositions and negotiate business deals.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities to identify market opportunities and develop effective business development plans.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems or other sales management tools to track and manage sales activities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business growth and exceeding targets.
  • Familiarity with payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and overcome obstacles in the sales process.
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to business development, continuously seeking new opportunities and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
