Our client is seeking an Human Resources Officer to join their team, responsible for providing overall administrative support across all functions and processes within the HR department.
Responsibilities:
Manage, update, and maintain the Human Resources Information System and all HR records, ensuring accurate personnel information.
Support management in administering the HR policy framework and providing general guidance to employees and management on HR policies and procedures.
Draft, maintain, evaluate, and update position descriptions and profiles.
Provide administrative support for the performance management system and assist in specialised HR projects as needed.
Coordinate and support recruitment and selection processes, from vacancy identification and job posting to onboarding, including maintaining recruitment databases.
Prepare, issue, and renew employment contracts, and manage the administrative process for employee exits.
Assist with training and development activities, including coordinating training plans, organising logistics, and managing related processes.
Prepare and compile reports on time and attendance, recruitment, and other HR data for both internal use and submission to the finance department.
Acquire work permits and liaise with government departments as necessary.
Substitute for HR team members as needed and handle administrative tasks like scanning, photocopying, binding, and managing stationery.
Perform such other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
MQF Level 4 qualification or higher in HR, psychology, or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferred).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
Detail-oriented, assertive, tactful, and courteous.
Highly organised with strong multitasking and leadership abilities.
Proficient in computer applications with a solid understanding of Maltese employment law.
Able to work under pressure, independently, and eager to learn.
Outgoing personality and enjoys engaging with people.
