This role is responsible for the management of the HR Operations department of all human resources activities for existing projects and new projects within the assigned regions. This position works closely with Individual Project and Operations Managers to ensure operations receive quality HR support through the company’s areas of operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the company's HR Policies and Procedures together with the Corporate HR department and partake in assuring that the procedures in question remain applicable, improved and relevant in line with changes that happen from time to time
  • Highlight gaps in the HR processes and lead the identification and implementation of any in country Work Instructions in line with in country regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Monitor the team regarding recruitment, creation of talent pools and sourcing of required operations related positions.
  • Liaising with clients, Project and Regional Managers regarding the mobilisation of staff members.
  • Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale building.
  • Recruiting, onboarding and coaching operations related staff for present and future needs of the company.
  • Training, counselling, and coaching HR Operations team members.
  • Lead any departmental investigation involving HR related matters and implement HOD approved corrective actions.
  • Review company HR policies and procedures to ensure up to date and legally relevant as well as operationally efficient and liaise with Head of SHRM as required.
  • Participate in all HR, Quality and HSSE initiatives.
  • Prepare HR related reports on regular basis for senior Management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in HR or relevant field from a recognised academic or industry body such as CIPD
  • Must have experience within the Oil & Gas, Maritime, Insurance; Medical, and exposed to International environment. 
  • Highly proficient in English whilst French, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate at all levels.

  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Able to work under pressure and make quick decisions, in a team and on his/her own initiative.
  • Able to work in ambiguous environment.
  • Able to respect deadlines and focused on delivering on time.
