Our client is one of the leading group of companies in Malta. They would like to employ a Group Chief People Officer to lead the Human Resources Function
The Role
You will be reporting into the Group CEO and your main task will be to define and implement strategy
You team will be in charge of recruitment and talent management, training and development, communication, employee engagement/recognition
You will ensure employment law compliance and the development and implementation of a proactive human resources function
You ensure all the necessary policies and procedures are kept in place
You will plan the Company vision, mission and values
Talent development will be one of the priorities on the agenda
You will assist departments in the plans with their HR needs including recruitment and other HR needs like disciplinaries
Monitoring expenditure and costs at all times. Being aware of budgets, costs and constraints to promote efficient and cost-effective solutions, ensuring that all aspects of the various projects remain within agreed budgets and identify any variances that might arise
Producing regular progress updates and reports as required. Participating and
presenting updated in quarterly Board Meetings
Maintaining knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation. Ensuring
adherence to legal requirements and advising management on needed actions to
remain compliant
Handle all HR audits
Manage Employee Relations
Skill-sets and Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic, excellent people and communication skills, knowledge of labor regulations and HR Practices, strategic thinking abilities and strong organizational skills
Have a experience in drafting and implementing policies
Have a minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
Be assertive yet approachable
Have a budget management experience
Knowledge of local employment legislation
Education & Experience
Preferably have a minimum of a degree level of Education- Human Resources
