Payroll Executive

Our client in the hospitality industry, is seeking an analytical and highly diligent individual to join their HR Team as a Payroll Executive. The successful candidate will oversee all payroll-related activities and processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees in compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with local tax and social security regulations, processing statutory deductions and submissions promptly.
• Collaborating with HR and Finance departments to synchronize payroll-related data and resolve discrepancies.
• Addressing and resolving employee payroll queries.
• Preparing and submitting relevant payroll reports and documentation to senior management.
• Staying updated with local regulations affecting payroll and implementing necessary changes.
• Managing the payroll administrator, providing training and guidance as needed.
• Safeguarding the confidentiality and security of all payroll records and information.
• Continuously reviewing and implementing process improvements to enhance payroll system efficiency and accuracy.
• Undertaking other administrative duties related to the role and gaining exposure to the HR function.

• A minimum of A-Level education with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in payroll software tools and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of the Indigo Payroll system is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Maltese Employment law.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork skills, assisting others as needed to meet deadlines.
