Hotel Barceló Fortina Malta is looking to recruit a Revenue and Channel Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.


The role:
The Revenue & Channel Manager is in charge of managing and optimizing hotel sales through different channels, with Barcelo.com and Call Center as a priority. This also optimizes the sale of reservation centers, online agencies, GDS, L&B and others. Work-based on meeting objectives in the different channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures are followed to capitalise and maximise revenue potential
  • To utilize systems, tools, and reports in the prescribed way to ensure all revenue management decisions are supported with relevant data analysis; STR, Price seeker, OTA Insight, TravelClick, etc.
  • Price management and daily actions: Make price adjustments within all channels in accordance with the GM / DSM, ensuring that BOB changes are displayed correctly on Barcelo.com
  • Supervise and manage the process of daily updates of inventory management and apply the hosting strategy, to achieve RevPAR increase and budget compliance
  • Daily review of prices and updates based on forecast demand and market conditions
  • Analysis of the competition, to optimize the market share and the difference in profitability with the competitors
  • Added value management at Barcelo.com: Application of Packages, Complements and Up-Selling of rooms in Barcelo.com
  • Management and implementation of individual Offers and Campaigns as well as corporate ones. Review of photos and content Barcelo.com and third-party channels
  • Results report using the available tools (FOCUS) or reports available through the person in charge of Own Channels: Barcelo.com + Call Centers
  • Make comparative reports of the competition (prices, positioning, current marketing campaigns of the competition, etc.)
  • Commercial activities: proactively propose commercial actions, offers, and campaigns, according to the information, statistics, competition, and trends that you manage every day.
  • Manage third-party websites. 

Requirements:
  • University degree (tourism, marketing, or related areas)
  • Understanding and management of ADS (alternative distribution systems), OTA (Online travel agencies) and GDS (global distribution channels)
  • Ability to assess business trends and modify strategies accordingly. Monitor competitors' pricing strategies and understand local markets and demand drivers
  • Knowledge of technical and management applications and use of Management Operating Systems (PMS), central reservation systems (CRS), and automatic revenue distribution systems (RMS) FOCUS COGNOS, SAP, CRM.
  • Proficient level of spoken and written English
  • Be orderly, meticulous, and analytical
  • To have initiative. Good analytical and strategic skills
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure and according to objectives
  • Ability to execute a variety of tasks and adaptable to internal and external changes
  • In-depth knowledge of the Hotel's products and operations.
