Bartender

Elba Restaurant in Malta is looking to recruit a Bartender to join their team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers, make recommendations and take/manage drink orders
• Plan drink menus and inform customers about new beverages and specials
• Upsell and top up customer drinks where necessary and as instructed by the supervisor/manager on duty
• Develop new cocktail recipes
• Garnish glasses and serve beverages to customers
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar is well-stocked
• Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate returning correct change to patrons, and balancing the cash register.

Requirements:

• Have extensive knowledge of common drinks to recommend to customers, prepare cocktails, pour beers and properly decant wines where necessary
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
• Understanding of unique and complementary flavour pairings
• Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
• Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
