Malta Marriott Resort & Spa is currently looking to recruit a Loss Prevention Host to join their team on a full-time basis.

Main responsibilities:

  • Acting as a first point of contact to clients and visitors by greeting and directing as need be
  • Promote a professional image at all times and have good knowledge of the services offered
  • Administrative work; including answering of phone calls
  • Keeping records, systems, and files up to date
  • Dealing with all requests and queries in a professional and friendly manner, whether face-to-face or over the telephone
  • Maintain security by patrolling the premises and make sure that safety procedures are being followed
  • Performing security checks and assessing the possible threat of various situations
  • Investigating disturbances and following policies and procedures for appropriate responses
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorised removal of property is conducted within appropriate procedures
  • Defuse guest disturbances and escort individuals from the property if necessary
  • Respond to accidents and assist guests/employees during emergency situations
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence and facilitate interviews with relevant parties
  • Complete required shift reports and maintain the confidentiality of all loss prevention documents
  • Perform security controls of designated areas on foot
  • Monitor security feeds and conduct daily physical hazard inspections
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.     


What we're looking for:

  • Have a valid Maltese Private Guard Licence
  • Able to work on own initiative, as well as in a team
  • Be clean, tidy and well-organised
  • Able to communicate fluently in Maltese and English
  • Strong communication skills
  • A history of thriving in stressful situations
  • A team-first attitude
  • A gift for paying attention to the smallest details
  • Exercise good judgment and maintain a professional demeanour
  • Able to work weekends on a roster basis.
