We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes from our menu which mainly consists of Mediterranean dishes, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the kitchen. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and cooking of all dishes, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
The ideal candidate:
- Has a passion for cooking a wide range of Mediterranean dishes
- Is self-motivated and able to handle pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment
- Is knowledgeable about various cooking techniques
- Is a team player willing to cooperate and interact with colleagues
- Has a positive attitude and physical stamina
- Is ready to work on a roster basis, including weekends and public holidays
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar restaurant
- Fluency in English and ideally, also Maltese
- A valid EU work permit since we are looking for someone who can start immediately
