Elba Restaurant is looking for a dynamic and creative Demi Chef de Partie to take care of the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the standards set by the restaurant and to deliver an amazing experience for our patrons.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in the daily operation and work

• Working according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie

• Keeping work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the Management

• Managing inventory, forecasting of stock and ordering supplies as needed while minimizing waste

• Conducting regular checks to ensure ingredients are fresh and of high quality

• Preparing the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the kitchen

• Following instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete daily tasks

• Ensuring the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and presentation of dishes and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques

• Developing new dishes by collaborating with senior chefs, giving ideas and feedback.

Skills & Knowledge

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization.

• Team player with strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate well in English (spoken and written).

• Previous experience is required.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene.


Elba Restaurant
Set within an 18th-century restored building, Elba is a restaurant in Bahar ic-Caghaq that encompasses true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu features a variety of small tasting dishes, platters, grills, pasta, and possibly one of the best pizzas on the island.
