Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs and kitchen assistants.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in your section, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and communicate with the sous chef or head chef for replenishment.
Assist in menu development by contributing new ideas and testing recipes.
Ensure timely service and coordinate with other sections to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes in your section.
Troubleshoot issues and ensure quick resolution to maintain efficiency during service.
Uphold food safety practices, ensuring compliance with all kitchen and food handling standards.
