Casino Security Shift Manager

Dragonara Gaming Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Casino Security Shift Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
The Dragonara Casino is looking for talented, energetic and motivated individuals to join our diverse workforce! In this role, you'll supervise and direct security staff to help ensure effective and efficient security operations. 

The Security Manager plays an integral role in maintaining the overall security and protection of the Casino in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures pertaining to the operation of the casino and resort.  Typical duties include removing disruptive individuals from the casino, reporting suspicious activity, escorting casino funds to and from the vault and assisting police officers when a disturbance is reported. 

The main purpose of the Position:
The Security Manager shall be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all company assets, employees and customers, as well as the organisation and running of the Security Department and its procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure that there are adequate Security Personnel to maintain the integrity of the Casino and that they are trained so that they have sufficient knowledge and skills to efficiently and effectively discharge their duties
• To co-ordinate shift work priorities in normal and excessive workload situations so as to maximize the use of the Department’s resources
• To ensure that all employees are trained in the appropriate emergency procedures
• To ensure that the security systems and equipment are at all times operating and maintained at a high standard
• To advise, maintain and enhance security policies, work rules and procedures, and ensure that they are complied with at all times
• To make decisions that maintain a high standard of integrity in the eyes of other Departments, Management and the general public
• To ensure all matters pertaining to equipment, procedures and information are treated with the strictest confidence at all times
• To ensure the ongoing development of staff competence, morale and efficiency
• Implement and ensure that all Health and Safety Procedures are implemented and adhered to
• Keep the Risk & Compliance Director informed of all activities
• To conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times
• To establish a good rapport with the local Law Enforcement Agencies
• Manage the performance of subordinate
• Other duties as required by the Risk & Compliance Director
• Review reports on incidents and breaches
• Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
• Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
• Create reports for management on the security status

Experience:
A minimum of one year of security experience is preferred. Must have investigative and interrogation techniques.

Abilities:
Must be able to communicate effectively in the primary language used in the workplace (Both English and Maltese).

Physical:
Requires standing, walking, and bending. May be required to lift up to 30 pounds. Must have good vision (corrected to 20/20).

Computer Skills:
Experience in MS Word, and Excel.

Certificates, Licences and Registrations:
Valid Driver's  License.
