Job Summary:

The Betting Store Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing betting transactions, and ensuring a smooth and secure operation of the betting store. This role involves assisting customers with placing bets, handling cash, and maintaining a clean and organised store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers warmly and assist them with placing bets. 
2. Provide information about betting options, odds, and promotions. 
3. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally. 
4. Accurately process bets and payouts using the betting terminal. 
5. Handle cash and electronic transactions securely and efficiently. 
6. Maintain accurate records of transactions and reconcile cash at the end of each shift. 
7. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies regarding betting operations. 
8. Verify customer age and eligibility to place bets. 
9. Assist with opening and closing procedures of the store. 
10. Prepare and submit daily reports on sales and transactions. 
11. Participate in inventory checks and manage stock levels of betting materials. 
12. Work effectively with colleagues to ensure a smooth operation of the store. 
13. Communicate any issues or customer feedback to the store manager. 
14. Assist with training new staff as needed.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a customer service or retail role is preferred. 
2. Strong customer service and communication skills. 
3. Basic numeracy and ability to handle cash accurately. 
4. Proficiency in using betting terminals and basic computer skills. 
5. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. 
6. Trustworthiness and reliability.
