Our client, operating in the construction industry, is looking for a Warranted Architect to join their growing team. Responsibilities will include:
Measure and prepare surveys of properties;
Prepare layouts and 3D images for development and marketing purposes;
Prepare concept design and prepare feasibility reports;
Develop preliminary design and prepare detailed design as necessary;
Prepare and submit applications to PA and monitor the application process until the Development Permit is issued.
Prepare structural design and construction drawings;
Liaise with professionals working on the project ( M&E engineer, Fire engineer, etc.); 8. Prepare take-offs, bill of quantities and draw up contracts – complete with the full tendering process;
Provide interior design as necessary and all tasks on building finishes ( all work stages); 10. Carry out ‘condition reports’ of existing property and ‘method statements’ for proposed works;
Carry out site inspections and ensure quality assurance on site;
Measure out and certify the works;
Provide valuations for Bank, Insurance & the Mizzi Group;
Lead the projects and liaise with the project team members;
Lead and co-ordinate construction and installation works on site;
Monitor progress and ensure that construction and development activities progress according to a pre-determined schedule;
Liaise with project stake holders (Local Council/s, OHSA, BCA, PA, utility entities WSC & Enemalta, etc.) as necessary;
Take roles of PSDS, PSCS, STO where necessary;
Prepare progress reports for review by the Project Manager and the Directors;
Skill-sets and Requirements
Possesses a driving licence
Fluency in Maltese and English
Education & Experience
Possess an undergraduate university degree in architecture and civil or structural engineering
Hold a valid Warrant
Able to work with ACAD and 3D modelling application
