Department: Projects

Job Purpose:

The Project Engineer will assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. He/she will be responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project

Main Duties (KPIs):

• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of assigned engineering projects
• Following specification and calculations to create various technical drawings
• Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with ACAD systems
• Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status
• Cooperating and communicating directly with the Operations Manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project’s profitability
• Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions
• Developing specifications for the project’s needed equipment
• Making inspections on project site, preparing site reports, designs and drawings and all related variation quotes and bills
• Ensuring the project’s compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specification.

Requisites:

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or architecture
• Degree from a technical college also acceptable
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software
• Excellent project management and supervision skills and
• Excellent organisational, time management, leadership and decision-making skills.
