Maintenance (Rooms Technician)

Mallard Co. Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Maintenance (Rooms Technician) to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Main duties:

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests 
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest 
• Check for new maintenance requests from the PMS (Property Management System) and update remarks once the task is completed 
• Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units 
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments 
• Work under pressure situations and exercise good judgments 
• Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information 
• Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property 
• Perform maintenance activities in the guest room and public like repairing all types of hardware, and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC, and AC ducts 
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties 
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed 
• Train and instruct other members of the staff through the sharing of knowledge and skills 
• Serve as part of the resort’s emergency response team 
• Ensure a high level of hospitality and guest concern 
• Practice at all times “Empowerment” and do whatever it takes to satisfy the guest.
  

Requirements:  

• Previous experience within a similar role will be considered an asset 
• A good standard of education 
• Able to work on his initiative 
• Willing to work flexible hours 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills 
• Able to work with shifts on a seven-day schedule.
• Must be in possession of the Skillspass and residing in Malta for immediate start
