Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team. You will perform mechanical work to maintain the running of all plant equipment and vehicles to obtain maximum production and service efficiency, improve costs, quality and safety.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a company focused on the construction and manufacture of building materials and is based in Naxxar, Malta.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform frequency-based Preventive Maintenance and rectify any issues found.

• Diagnose breakdown causes and repair.

• Perform equipment installations and vehicles to regulatory standards.

• Involved in or familiar with any project plans for the installation of new equipment.

• Modify and Improve Equipment, Plant and Processes.

• Calibrate instrumentation including Weighing systems, Flow control, Level indicators.

• Contribute to the development of safe systems of work ensuring that Company Health and Safety Standards are complied with, and safe working practices are always adopted.

• Provide technical advice, training support and information to departmental managers, supervisors and staff.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.

• Good command of Maltese and English is mandatory.

• Advanced knowledge of maintenance processes and standards in the fields.

• A valid driving license.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Excellent planning skills.

• Use workers and resources in the most effective manner.

• Provide quick responses to maintenance issues.

• Identify problems and help improve processes.

• Use software to generate reports and schedules.

• Ensure that company deadlines are met.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Honours in Mechanical Engineering).

WORKING TIME:

Monday to Friday, from 07:00 till 16:00 with one hour break.
