Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Clerk to join our team within the office of the part time courses. This role plays a vital part in the daily operations of our office, handling essential administrative tasks such as managing correspondence, maintaining records and performing data entry. The Clerk will ensure smooth and efficient office operations by supporting team members and assisting with email and phone communications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming visitors
• Handle customer queries and communicate with customers as necessary via various
channels
• Retain records, follow up provisional course applications and process applications
received
• Vet online applications, follow up as necessary and liaise with Admissions Office
• Handle payments and invoices accordingly and prepare daily reconciliations
• Liaise and communicate with other MCAST departments such as Institutes, Office of the
Registrar and others as required
• Other clerical/administrative duties as directed
Skills
• Communication both in writing and verbally in Maltese and English language
• Strong communication skills in writing, with a focus on email etiquette and clarity
• Excellent customer handling skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a
fast-paced environment.
• Computer Literate (Office Tools)
• Team Work oriented
• Reflect the company’s corporate image in the handling of tasks
• Can-do attitude
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with individuals from various age brackets, ethnicities, or
socioeconomic backgrounds is an advantage
Requirements and Experience:
• Holds a recognised Level 4 Qualification
• Proven Computer Literacy - ECDL / ICDL
• Proven experience working as a clerk or in a similar role will be given preference
• Prior experience managing email accounts and other administrative duties in an office
setting is highly recommended
