Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase plc. is a leading diversified financial services group that was founded in the Maltese financial services industry in 1971. We currently employ 200 people spread across 3 core business lines namely Investment Services, Payment Services, and Fund administration services. 

The selected person is expected to be detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.

To ensure success, the Accounts Clerk should be a critical thinker and have a solid understanding of account and financial reporting principles and practices. The person should also have the ability to work on their own initiative and work as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day duties to the Accounts department.
  • Post invoices in the sales, purchase, and nominal ledger.
  • Process requests for payment and prepare local and foreign payments.
  • Issue customer invoices and ensure timely collection of payments; follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Perform banking transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assist colleagues and superiors as required to ensure that end-of-month deadlines are met and that payments are issued by the stipulated deadlines
  • Accurately enter and maintain financial records in accounting systems.
  • Assist in year-end audit requests.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance team.

Experience & Educational Requirements

  • A’ level education in Accounts
  • Ideally have experience in the financial services industry
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word will be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably SUN

Skills Requirements

  • Has a good eye for detail
  • Be able to work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines
  • Be highly organised, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Present a friendly, outgoing and positive attitude
