The selected candidate will report directly to the Operations Director, and the main responsibilities shall include:
• Liaise with the Employer’s overseas Principals on a day-to-day basis.
• Co-ordinate with the various departments within the company to ensure an excellent service is provided to the market in the best interest of the business.
• Submit tenders accurately and on time and ensure that tender bidding process is followed.
• Prepare and submit forecasts to the foreign suppliers.
• Negotiate with foreign suppliers, as may be required, and issue purchase orders in accordance to agreed terms and conditions.
• Track and file claims for expenses.
• Attend various meetings.
Although not mandatory, preference shall be given to candidates having the following requisites:
• An understanding of contract terminology, competitive bids, purchase orders, and supplier relationship management.
• At least one-year experience within an administrative role.
• Computer literate, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, emails, etc.
• Ability to speak, read and write in both Maltese and English.
• Be very organised, meticulous, proficient and an excellent communicator.
• Be pro-active and possesses a can-do attitude.
• All considered applicants must be in possession of a clean Police conduct.
