Accounts Executive (Libya)

Ably Resources Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Executive (Libya) to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

About the client:
Our Client is a hospitality organisation operating in Libya. Due to expansion within the Finance Team, an Accounts Executive is now required to take responsibility for the recording of accurate financial data, reconciliation of accounts and issue of monthly departmental analysis. If you are an energetic team player with a friendly personality, you will likely fit well into our client’s team.

Responsibilities:

• Posting of all Purchasing Invoices (in various currencies)
• Bank accounts posting (payables and receipts)
• Bank accounts reconciliations
• Posting of cash payments/receipts
• Posting and reconciling F&B Sales & complimentaries
• Accounts Payable – handling of vendors' correspondence, processing invoices, remittance for cheques and wire transfers
• Reconciliation of creditor accounts
• Accruals – setting up, reconciling and posting of monthly accruals
• Advance Payments – apportioning, reconciling and posting of monthly accruals
• Reconcile posted transactions and correct any discrepancies
• Updating receipts of goods and services which are not yet invoiced, allocating and reconciling the account
• Posting of Journals and assisting in month-end closure to achieve required deadlines
• Monthly reconciliation of ledger accounts
• Daily routine activity, emails, filing, keeping of records and reports, plus reconciling selected accounts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required or equivalent certification
• Highly versed with SUN Systems and Microsoft Office applications. Being conversant with Maximo Systems is considered an asset
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Our client offers a generous net salary on a 3-year contract renewable contract

Please note that as you will be based within the hospitality setting, this role will require a 6-day working week.
