Job Overview

As a Junior IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to clients, troubleshooting IT-related issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations within both internal and client environments. You will work in a hybrid setup, based at our offices in Pieta’ this will be combined with remote working and occasional on-site visits to client locations to deliver hands-on technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level support to clients via phone, email, and onsite visits.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist in system setups, configurations, and maintenance.
  • Log and track support tickets using a helpdesk/ticketing system.
  • Hand over unresolved issues to senior IT staff when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, solutions, and technical procedures.
  • Support client IT operations by ensuring smooth running of systems and infrastructure.
  • Assist in basic cybersecurity and IT compliance tasks.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment including PCs, printers, and peripherals.
  • Perform basic server administration under guidance.

Requirements
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role (entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply).
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and general software support.
  • Familiarity with ticketing/helpdesk systems.
  • Ability to work independently and provide support at client sites.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (Maltese is a plus).
  • A valid driver’s licence is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Applicants should already be resident in Malta.
