IT Technician

Sentech Malta FP Limited is currently looking to recruit an IT Technician to join their team on a full-time basis.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our team.
This position reports to the Production Manager and will work in the IT department.
The selected candidate’s main role will be to provide technical support and assistance to end-users in resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
The IT Technician will work closely with other IT staff to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for first-line technical, software and network support to end users
• Responsible for User training and IT documentation
• Responsible for Hardware maintenance
• Responsible for IT security and compliance with set policies and procedures
• Assisting in implementing and maintaining backup and recovery.

Requirements:

• An IT diploma (Level 5) or equivalent certification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related direct field is a requirement. Basic knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Reporting reporting-generating tools such as SSRS or similar would be considered an asset
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role providing first-line technical support in an IT environment
• Proficiency and Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem solving with hardware, Microsoft OS and Office suites
• Ability to set up Microsoft O/S and various applications on new systems
• Know basic network setups/troubleshooting including shared printers and other devices on the network
• Ability to configure hardware and software to connect to the company´s IT infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
