IT Specialist

Food Chain Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit an IT Specialist to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:
A vacancy has arisen within Food Chain Ltd as an IT Specialist, to define, implement and support the company’s IT network, infrastructure, and other technical services and platforms in line with the overall business plan and within the established and approved broader IT architecture. Food Chain Ltd operates 18 stores in total across Malta for Burger King, Pizza Hut, KFC and Boost.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users through various channels, including phone, email and in-person
• Collaborate with vendors for system upgrades and enhancements
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to ensure minimal downtime
• Assist in the installation, and configuration of software applications and hardware
• Monitor and maintain the restaurant's network infrastructure
• Conduct routine maintenance of computers, printers and other hardware in stores
• Manage inventory of IT equipment and peripherals
• Maintain accurate documentation of support interactions, solutions, and system configurations
• Contribute to the development of user guides and training materials to empower end-users
• Coach staff on basic IT procedures and system usage.

Educational and skill requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Technology
• Possess a clean driving license
• Basic understanding of hardware, software, and networking concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused mindset
• Eagerness to collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
