Core Networks Engineer

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain core network infrastructure, mainly using Cisco technologies.
• Manage and optimize routing protocols for efficient traffic flow within the network and on the internet.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize optical networks for high-speed data transmission.
• Oversee transit and international connectivity to ensure reliable and cost-effective internet access for the customers.
• Work closely with other engineering teams to identify and resolve network issues.
• Monitor network performance and take preventative measures to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in core networking and routing.

• Proven experience as a Core Network Engineer or have worked in a similar role within a data centre environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with a focus on networking or a related field.
• CCNA considered as an asset.
